At the Castlecrag community meeting on 11 February 2026, the presentation provided an update on the proposed 11-storey State Significant Development at 100 Edinburgh Road. It outlined the approved 3-storey DA, explained the SSD process and timelines, summarised actions taken by the 100 Action Group, and detailed heritage, planning, legal and media strategies. Indicative photomontages and shadow diagrams were shown, and residents were briefed on the upcoming EIS exhibition and submission process.

Conquest will hold three community consultation sessions on the proposed development of 100 Edinburgh Road as part of the State Government’s approval process. These sessions form part of the required engagement under the Undertaking Engagement Guidelines for State Significant Projects. Since forming, the 100 Action Group has created an engagement plan, recruited experts, and appointed consultants to guide the community’s response. It has met with Council, sought details from Conquest, and lodged a Freedom of Information request for missing documents, preparing to act quickly once the EIS is publicly exhibited.

In December 2024, a 38-apartment project at 100 Edinburgh Road was approved. After purchasing the site, Conquest sought State Significant Development status to build an 11-storey, 150-apartment tower, bypassing Council oversight.
