Christmas is a wonderful time of celebration and reflection, a season to appreciate the blessings and experiences we are privileged to enjoy.
As I sat immersed in the beauty of the “Wonder” concert at Chatswood’s Concourse, featuring Australian violinist Edward Walton alongside the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Nicholas Milton, a small plaque on the seat in front caught my eye. It read:
“Mayor and Mayoress : Pat & Bethe Reilly : In tribute to the Past, Present and Future of Willoughby”
This simple inscription reminded me of the countless councillors who have shaped Willoughby into the vibrant community we cherish today. I am deeply grateful for their vision and dedication.
As a current Willoughby City Councillor, I am committed to honouring this legacy by working toward a thriving future – one that respects our history while meeting the needs of our diverse and growing community.
Willoughby is far more than its infrastructure; it is a City of Diversity, offering a rich tapestry of culture and opportunity for residents and visitors alike. Let us celebrate all that makes our city special, now and in the future.
